Project 17: People - unrecognisable

Exercise: Making figures anonymous

Take some photographs that include a person or people in a particular place, but deliberately make them unrecognisable and, as a result, less prominent. Make between two and four photographs which use different techniques to achieve this.

The thousands of people are tiny pack together, making it impossible to recognise anyone waiting for the Bruce Springsteen concert to begin.

The three ladies are walking into the frame, facing away from the camera. I choose these people because the different coloured tops complemented the three prominently coloured buildings higher up in the frame.

The bright sky and the camera's low angle of view has silhouetted the figure winding the winch to open a lock paddle.

The side profile of people from a distance has made it difficult to recognise these people dining.

It is very difficult to identify the two figures in the bottom left hand corner of the frame because they are so small.
